MK-Flathouse is a business property near an Islamic boarding house and the biggest private university in Solo.
Planned as a business property, the house serves as an exclusive boarding house (kos-kosan) for female students and workers. As an exclusive rental property, every unit is furnished with a bathroom and an air conditioner.
To maintain good air circulation and natural light, we created an open space in the middle of the house. The open space also functions as a communal space that includes kitchen, lounge, and a garden.
On the exterior, we created a unique facade of red-brown bricks arrangement. In a densely populated area, this facade becomes the property identity, making it stand out without dominating the environment.
